Library Administration
The Library is administered by the University Librarian and her cabinet of four Associate University Librarians ("AULs") and the Assistant to the University Librarian.
Each AUL is the head of a Division: Library Technology, Public Services, Special Libraries, and Technical Services and Resource Management.
Library Organizational ChartThe University Librarian, the AULs and the Assistant to the University Librarian comprise the Library Administrative Committee.
The Administrative Committee together with all of the Library Department Heads comprise the Management Council.
The University Librarian reports to the Provost. The Provost and the University Librarian are advised by two consultative bodies, the University Library Committee and the Library Board of Governors, a group of alumni and supporters.
The University Librarian also oversees the Northwestern
University Press, as a separate organization.
