Audio Recording

Faculty, staff and graduate students can arrange to use the audio recording room. Digital Collections staff will help you get started with your audio recording project. Staff will also help teach you how to edit the audio clips in the lab. To make an appointment, call 847.467.1080. Recording equipment is only available for use within our audio lab.

Audio Streaming

Faculty, grad students and staff can request library titles and materials you own to be streamed from CDs, LPs or audio cassettes for teaching purposes. For more information about streaming audio, please see our Streaming Information page. Links to steamed titles are posted directly in your BlackBoard class site.

Audio Digitization

If you have LPs or cassettes that you want to digitize, you can use our lab equipped with a USB turntable and dual cassette deck. Staff are available by appointment to teach you how to use the equipment. Editing software includes GarageBand, Soundtrack Pro and Final Cut Pro. To make an appointment call 847.467.1080.
